Analytics choice in this browser

Reading browser choice… Google Analytics: not permitted.

These controls change optional analytics, not the cookie-free interaction counts or Cloudflare's hosting logs. Rejecting does not delete cookies already set by Google. Clear this site's data in browser settings to remove those cookies.

What this site keeps in your browser

The site's own code sets no cookies. It uses your browser's local storage for four things you control:

  • ab:spoiler-level:v1: your spoiler zipper level, saved only when you change it
  • ab:achievements:v1: the achievements you ticked in the checklist
  • animaly-ending-checker-v1: the ending goal, festival stage and escape-count option you explicitly save in the ending checker. It does not read your game save.
  • orbitmate:cookie-consent:v1: your choice in the analytics banner, saved when you pick Accept or Reject

They stay on your device and are never sent to us. Reset in the achievement checklist clears your ticks, and clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes all four.

Revealing a single hidden item with its Unzip button is not saved: it lasts until you leave the page.

Our host

Cloudflare hosts the site. It can set a strictly necessary security cookie when it needs to check traffic for abuse.

Analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics and our own interaction counts run on every page without cookies or local storage. The Privacy Policy lists what they count.

Google Analytics 4 is off until you choose Accept in the analytics banner. After that, Google sets two cookies on this site:

  • _ga: tells one browser from another, kept for up to 2 years
  • _ga_<ID>: keeps track of the current visit, kept for up to 2 years

To change your choice, use the Analytics settings button at the bottom of the page. Choosing Reject stops Google Analytics and reloads the page; cookies it already set stay until they expire or you clear this site's data in your browser settings.

Advertising

Game and guide pages display one Adsterra Banner when opened, independently of optional analytics preferences. Adsterra and its partners may receive your IP address, browser information and referring site, and use cookies or similar identifiers for ad delivery and measurement. The site's analytics Accept/Reject controls do not disable advertising. See Adsterra’s privacy policy and cookie information. We do not send your saved game progress or contact drafts to the ad placement. An advertisement is not our endorsement.
